Chris joined Heard, McElroy & Vestal in June 2008 in Shreveport after working in the banking industry. As a Tax Manager, Chris uses his experience in tax planning and preparation for individuals, partnerships and corporations, in addition to a specialized training in the taxation of financial institutions and the construction industry. Chris often works with the audit department as a key member of the entertainment, digital media and film audit team reviewing and performing Agreed Upon Procedures in accordance with Louisiana Economic Development requirements.

In 2006, Chris graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Analysis. Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana CPAs. For the advancement of his professional education, Chris has attended many conferences and courses in various locations around the country, such as the RSM US Alliance Tax Conferences, AICPA Tax & Audit Courses, and LCPA Tax & Audit courses. At HMV, Chris is a member of the recruiting committee and the editorial board of the newsletter.

In the community, Chris has served as Treasurer of the Literacy Volunteers at Centenary College, was a member of the Greater Shreveport Leadership Program in 2013, and currently volunteers with Make-A-Wish Foundation.
